IS IT POSSIBLE FOR IT TO BE POSSIBLE??

"The multiverse, she said, was like an old library whose shelves were packed with books arranged by a cataloguing system that ranked them according to similarity, each book containing within its covers a story that varied only slightly from the stories of its immediate neighbours, but by increasing degrees from those of increasingly distant books."
                                                                                                ― Paul J. McAuleyEvening's Empires
There had been quite a lot of theories and assumptions in defining time travel in this UNIVERSE. I used the word 'universe' specifically for which I'll give reasons for later in this post. If you're thinking about Fringe science, we'll get there. It is often theorised that time can be slowed, squeezed and fastened. But travelling through it and skipping is a whole other thing, and scientifically impossible. It is not as easy as it is in the 'Back to the future' trilogy. Although it brilliantly emphasised on the side-effects of time travel, it is quite not it. There are two thing to ponder upon 'TIME'.

>>>>>Time is a physical entity.
  • Meaning that, There is no difference between the PAST, PRESENT and FUTURE. Everything is infinitely happening at every moment. As in 'Back to the future'.
  • Also meaning that time can be slowed and fastened. As per Einstein and Hawking, this is the most encouraged theory. As in 'Interstellar'.
>>>>>Time is not a physical entity.
  • It is the most practical decision to think so. That time is not anything more that a convention create by the humans, who have a reputation to complicate things. Which means, there is no PAST or the FUTURE, just a 'linear' PRESENT
There is not much to talk about time, when we consider it not to be physical quantity. But the alternate is pretty interesting.

CASE STUDY:
This is what we call as the 'Temporal Paradoxes'.
Its actually is simple in practical life. One, invent a time machine. Two, go back in time and change the past. And three, come back to the present. BOOM. you changed the future.
Well, science is always here to kill your dreams, yo. There has been a number of paradoxes in it. Lets take the 'Gunner' for example. It is a bit complex to understand.

  • Let R-S be the life of the gunner, going on linearly just like the one we are spending in this UNIVERSE, right now. Let us consider him to be happy in this phase.
  • At 'S', a event happens that stimulates him to go to the past and kill his 'Past self'. In here his life is depressing.
  • He then finds the time machine during S-P, if he actually invented it then meh!!, time is not linear.
  • He travels from P to a part of his life in between R-S. And shoots his 'past self'. His own self, when he was happy.
The paradox is that if this actually happened, what happens to the gunner, who shot his 'past self'. Does he just vanish in thin air and the universe just continues?. NOOOOO!!. If the 'deppressed gunner' shot the 'Happy gunner', then there will be no depressing gunner, thus no stimulation for him to kill his 'Past self'. Its a bit hard to digest it, but yeah NO LOGIC. Maybe time travel doesn't work that way.
The most possible way to explain this is the theory of 'MULTIVERSE'. Which means that going back in time would lead to an opening in an alternate or a parallel universe. I personally have a theory of parallel infinite universes with infinite number of possibilities in each universes. Every moment that goes in your life is branching to a millions of possibilities. A slight change will lead to an entirely new possibilities. We call it 'THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT'.
Did you find the answer for the 'SCHRODINGER'S CAT'?.... The best answer is that the cat is both alive and dead. Mad, ain't it. The cat may be alive or dead, it is just not in our universe. Well, curiosity sure did kill the cat, no I was joking.
This means that a question has infinite number of answers, It is just that your answer maybe invalid in your universe, but valid in another. But every universe makes sure, that all follows the basic rule of physics.Interesting ye??
But, science is a devil. Cuz, 'INFINITY' is just a concept and is not a number. So, theorising on that will give no conclusions, just dead ends. We cannot consider destruction of a universe then. As, infinite plus one, is still infinite as from the famous Hilbert's paradox of the Grand Hotel. But, Infinite minus one is never theorised. So, even the gunner goes back and kills his own self, the universe wouldn't just vanish. but there are a million possibilities that would lead to different universes.
In the end, in search for answers i just put forth, even more number of theories to it. is time travel possibility is even possible? You can think of million answers and all of it would be correct and valid (even if not in this universe).
